WE, faculty members and students representing University of Santo Tomas (UST), University of the East (UE), Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU), Colegio de San Juan de Letran, and Bulacan State University (BulSU), have agreed in principle to form a network of schools that will seek to empower communities through journalism;
WE believe that the sharing of resources can produce quality journalism that will tackle stories that are often ignored by the mainstream media;
WE shall establish our respective local news teams that will cover and write stories adhering to journalistic standards, particularly accuracy and fairness;
WE shall adhere to editorial policies and processes to be set by the network’s interim editorial board, which shall be mutually acceptable to all member schools.
